trxparm(1M) trxparm(1M)

NAME
trxparm - create a parameter file to evaluate a tracex measurement
     using trxlook

SYNOPSIS
     /opt/SItracex/bin/trxparm parmfile [-i eventid] ... [-p pid] ...
                               [-g timeinterval] [-t starttime endtime]

DESCRIPTION
trxparm is a pre-program for trxlook(1M). It is used to create a parm-
file parameter file that allows trxlook to select a subset of measure-
ment data from an ASCII log file. (The parmfile parameter file must
already exist before trxparm is called.)

OPTIONS
     -i eventid
eventid event numbers can selected using this option. This option
can be specified a number of times.

     -p pid
Processes are selected by means of their PIDs using this option.
This option can be specified a number of times.

     -g timeinterval
A blank line is inserted in the case of time differences of
greater than 10 milliseconds by trxlook to provide a better over-
view. If you require a different value, you should specify it
here in milliseconds with this option.

     -t start end
The start time and end time of the evaluation period are speci-
fied using this option. The information is specified in
          microseconds.

NOTES
The /home/tracex/entab file [see entab(4)] represents a listing of all
events logged by tracex. The definition range for eventid is defined
     here.

Detailed instructions and, in particular, a description of all meas-
urement points (events) known to tracex, as well as the format of the
files, can be found in the /home/tracex/doc/trxman00 file.
