NAME
trxout - convert a binary measurement file to an ASCII file

SYNOPSIS
     /opt/SItracex/bin/trxout rawtrace [-o asciitrace] [-O] [-l] [-f] [-w]

DESCRIPTION
Using the trxout command, a rawtrace binary log file created using
txc(1M) can be converted to readable ASCII text. See NOTES and tra-
cex(5) for information on filename conventions.

OPTIONS
     -o asciitrace
The converted measurement data is written to the asciitrace file,
or to standard output if this option is not specified.

-O The converted measurement data is written to the mnametro file.
          This option invalidates -o.

-l During conversion of the measurement data, the number of the
logged event is replaced by an appropriate symbolic name. This
output can now no longer be processed by the other evaluation
          programs.

Since the trxlook(1M) program delivers almost the same result, it
is recommended not to use this option.

-f No error file is created if this option is specified.

Any errors that occur are saved in the rawtracetoe file if this
          option is not specified.

-w The percentage of the file that was already converted is speci-
fied, as well as the size of the asciitrace file (in lines) at
          the end.

NOTES
To be able to use the supplied makefile, the asciitrace ASCII log file
must be called "mname.A", where mname is the character string that was
used to identify the measurement when txc(1M) was called.

Detailed instructions and, in particular, a description of all meas-
urement points (events) known to tracex, as well as the format of the
files, can be found in the /home/tracex/doc/trxman00 file.
