NAME
     trxindx - create an index file to evaluate a tracex measurement using
     trxlook

SYNOPSIS
     /opt/SItracex/bin/trxindx asciitrace [steps]

DESCRIPTION
     trxindx is a pre-program for trxlook(1M). Using this program, the run-
     time of trxlook can be improved considerably for large asciitrace
     ASCII log files. It creates an asciitraceind index file that links
     the measurement time with the log file offset.

     The number of bytes to precede an entry can be set in the optional
     steps argument. The default value is 50,000 bytes.

NOTES
     Detailed instructions and, in particular a description of all measure-
     ment points (events) known to tracex, as well as the format of the
     files, can be found in the /home/tracex/doc/trxman00 file.
