NAME

tns_browser − Starts the TNS Browser utility

SYNOPSIS

tns_browser

DESCRIPTION

The TNS browser, tns_browser, is a graphic interface for viewing a TNS namespace.  To use it you need Motif software. The browser displays TNS directories and their contents, enabling you to monitor growth and change in the namespace. You can customize the browser to display only a certain class of object. The browser also has a virtual root capability, enabling you to quickly change the display from one directory to another, and even to a directory in another namespace.

The TNS clerk on your system must be running in order to use the browser.  The clerk must have access to a properly configured and available TNS server.
