NAME
metaclear − clears active metadevices
SYNOPSIS
/usr/etc/metaclear -a
/usr/etc/metaclear metadevice
/usr/etc/metaclear −r metadevice
/usr/etc/metaclear −h
AVAILABILITY
This program is available with the Sun Online: DiskSuite software package.
DESCRIPTION
metaclear clears (removes from active configuration) all configured metadevice(s) or the specified metadevice. Once a metadevice is cleared, it must be reconfigured using metainit(8) before it can be used again.
Note that any metadevice currently in use (open) cannot be cleared. Specifically, root and swap mirrors are never cleared.
OPTIONS
−a Clears all metadevices configured.
−h Displays usage message. The −h option overrides the −a option if both are entered on the command line.
−r Recursively clears submirrors of a metamirror.
