NAME
sbset − set parameters to the audio interface
SYNOPSIS
sbset [ −d device ] [ −i inputlevel ] [ −o outputlevel ] [ −set mode ] [ −inch channel ] [ −insel input ] [ −outsel output ] [ options ]
DESCRIPTION
sbset sets parameters about input level, output level, cording, sampling frequency, number of channels, number of data bits, monitor function, input select to the audio interface.
OPTIONS
−d device
specifies the audio interface being used. If the −d option is not specified, /dev/sbe0 will be opened. If this fails, the device file /dev/sb0 will be opened.
−i inputlevel
specifies the input level. This value (∗1) can be from −32.0 dB to 0.0 dB in 0.5 dB increments. If not specified, the previous setting is used.
∗1This value can be from −16.0 dB to +16.0 in 0.5 dB increments on NWS-5000 series. NWS-3100 series does not support this option. The value can be from −10.0 dB to +7.5 dB in 2.5 dB increments when line inputfrom the board is used with /dev/sbe0.
−o outputlevel
specifies the output level. This value (∗2) can be from −32.0 dB to 0.0 dB in 0.5 dB increments. If not specified, the previous setting is used.
∗2This value can be from −8.0 dB to +8.0 dB in 2.0 dB increments on NWS-3100 series. The value 0.0 dB is always used when line output from the board is used with /dev/sbe0.
−set mode
specifies whether the setting is onto input, output or both. The following options mode are available. ∗3
in Specifies the setting is onto input.
out Specifies the setting is onto output.
inout Specifies the setting is onto both input and output.
−inch channel
specifies the setting parameter which defines whether the data is input only to the left channel or to both channels when the LINE SELECTOR output is mono data. ∗3
mono Specifies the setting is to both channels.
stereo Specifies the setting is only to the left channel.
−insel input
specifies the input select. The following options input are available. ∗4
box Specifies microphone/speaker box as input (for /dev/sbe0.)
line Specifies the board’s LINE IN (RCA pin jack) as input (for /dev/sbe0,) or LINE-IN as input (for NWS-5000.)
mic Specifies mic as input (for NWS-5000.)
cdrom Specifies CD-ROM drive as input (for NWS-5000.)
da output of this interface as input (for NWS-5000.)
slot Specifies SLOT as input (for NWS-5000.)
−outsel output
specifies the output select. The following options output are available. ∗3
sp Specifies built-in speaker as output.
kb Specifies keyboard speaker as output.
The following options are available for [ options ].
