DESCRIPTION
metaclear clears (removes from active configuration) all configured metadevice(s) or the specified metadevice. Once a metadevice is cleared, it must be reconfigured using metainit(1M) before it can be used again.
Note that any metadevice currently in use (open) cannot be cleared.
OPTIONS
−a Clears all metadevices configured.
−h Displays usage message. The −h option overrides the −a option if both are entered on the command line.
−r Recursively clears metadevices.
−f Clears a mirror with a submirror in an errored state.
−s setname
Specifies the name of the diskset on which metaclear will work. Using the −s option will cause the command to perform its administrative function within the specified diskset. Without this option, the command will perform its function on your local metadevices and/or hot spare pools.
