NAME

lpf_xwdupd − XWD image printer filters for UP-D7000

SYNOPSIS

/usr/sony/lib/lpf_xwdupd

DESCRIPTION

lpf_xwdupd is lpr(1) output filter for outputting data input as XWD format image data to the UP-D7000 color printer.
The UP-D7000 has 163dpi resolution, and print A4-sized (max. 1280 × 1593 dots) print paper or tranparent film by full color (16,700,000 colors).

In the file /etc/printcap, upd7000 is defined as default entry for UP-D7000.  This filter recorded as follow;

EXAMPLES

To use this filter, lpr(1) or xwdlpr(1) should be used. Example by using lpr(1) :

lpr −Pupd7000 −x XWDdata Note that the filter setting option (−x in this case) must be specified.  Example by using xwdlpr(1) : xwdlpr −Pupd7000 XWDdata

LIMIT

The XWD format data that can be output is limited to image data which is convertible using the xwdconv command. The visual_class must be direct24, direct16, pseudo8, pseudo4, gray8, gray4 or bitmap, and the pixmap_format must be ZPixmap. 

CAUTION

The UP-D7000 is connected by SCSI interface.  If you not used default SCSI ID (/dev/scsi06) defined in the /etc/printcap, please change SCSI device name in it.
