NAME

lpf_sxupd − XWD image printer filters for UP-D7000

SYNOPSIS

/usr/sony/lib/lpf_sxupd

DESCRIPTION

lpf_sxupd is lpr(1) output filter which take XWD format image data converted using the xwdconv command with the −mode direct24 option (or equally format) as input, and output it to the UP-D7000 color printer. 
The UP-D7000 has 163dpi resolution, and print A4-sized (max. 1280 × 1593 dots) print paper or tranparent film by full color (16,700,000 colors).

In the file /etc/printcap, upd7000 is defined as default entry for UP-D7000.  This filter recorded as follow;

EXAMPLES

To use this filter, lpr(1) should be used:

lpr −Pupd7000 −Sx XWDdata Note that the filter setting option (−Sx in this case) must be specified.

LIMIT

This filter will not work properly if data other than XWD format image data converted using the xwdconv command with the −mode direct24 option (or equally format) is passed through it for output to the UP-D7000 color printer. 

CAUTION

The UP-D7000 is connected by SCSI interface.  If you not used default SCSI ID (/dev/scsi06) defined in the /etc/printcap, please change SCSI device name in it.
