NAME

lpf_updif − CDIF print filters for UP-D7000

SYNOPSIS

/usr/sony/lib/lpf_updif

DESCRIPTION

lpf_updif are lpr(1) output filters for outputting data input as CDIF format data to the UP-D7000 color printer.
The UP-D7000 has 163dpi resolution, and print A4-sized (max. 1280 × 1593 dots) print paper or tranparent film by full color (16,700,000 colors). But this filter support the 8 bits-puseudo color or B/W color formatted CDIF.

In the file /etc/printcap, upd7000 is defined as default entry for UP-D7000.  This filter recorded as follow;

EXAMPLES

To use this filter, lpr(1) should be used:

ctoif −i CDFFfile −o CDIFfile -mode pseudo8

lpr −Pupd7000 −c CDIFfile Note that the filter setting option (−c in this case) must be specified. 

LIMITS

To make a KANJI character output, Sony-format Outline font (Available in NWF-605, NWF-629, NWF-631 − 636C etc.)  is required.

CAUTION

The UP-D7000 is connected by SCSI interface.  If you not used default SCSI ID (/dev/scsi06) defined in the /etc/printcap, please change SCSI device name in it.
