SUPPORTWATCH(1m)
NAME
supportwatch -- a set of proactive HP support programs
DESCRIPTION
HP Support Watch is an early warning system that links HP 9000 Series 800 systems via modem to the expertise of the Hewlett-Packard support organization. It assists in transforming unscheduled downtime into scheduled maintenance:
records a history of system configurations and activity; locates potential problems with peripherals and memory before they occur; transmits information, errors, and warnings to the HP support team; mails messages to designated users.
The supportwatch man page is provided only to orient a user to HP Support Watch (sw) and its two subsystems, Remote Watch (rw) and Predictive Support (psconfig). For detailed information, refer to the "HP Support Watch User’s Guide," to the sw(1m), rw(1m), and psconfig(1m) man pages, or use HP Support Watch online help.
To access the HP Support Watch user interface and its two subsystems, the absolute pathname of the Support Watch command is /usr/diag/sw/sw.
