PSMON(1m)
NAME
PSMON -- the Predictive Support monitor daemon
DESCRIPTION
The PSMON daemon coordinates the running of the HP Support Watch utilities. See supportwatch(1m) for more information.
When the system boots up, /usr/diag/bin/DIAGINIT is launched from /etc/rc. DIAGINIT then launches /usr/diag/bin/DIAGMON, and then DIAGMON launches /usr/diag/pred/PSMON.
If PSMON aborts for any reason, DIAGMON will attempt to launch PSMON for five more times before giving up.
During a Predictive run, PSMON launches the utilities: PSRULEUP, PSCONFGP, DISCSCAN, LOGSCAN, MEMSCAN, SCSISCNP, and PSUXFRDP, in that order. For detailed information regarding these utilities, please refer to the "HP Support Watch User’s Guide," to the sw(1m), rw(1m), and psconfig(1m) man pages, or use HP Support Watch online help.
