NAME
meta2fun - 8-bit character converter
SYNOPSIS
meta2fun < file
DESCRIPTION
The meta2fun filter replaces (almost) all characters in the 8-bit ISO
8859-1 character set [cf. meta-ascii(5)] in the specified file with
troff special characters ("funny characters") [cf. roff-charset(5)].
This means that these 8-bit characters can be printed in PostScript
format.
EXAMPLES
A typical command looks as follows:
pic file | tbl | eqn | meta2fun | troff -Tpost ...
NOTES
The following 8-bit ISO 8859-1 characters are not defined in
PostScript and therefore are also not replaced by meta2fun:
