uuname(1) uuname(1)
NAME
uuname - list names of UUCP systems
SYNOPSIS
uuname[ -c][ -l]
DESCRIPTION
uuname lists the names of all systems known to uucp.
OPTIONS
No option specified:
uuname lists the names of all systems known to uucp.
-c Returns the names of systems known to cu. If the local system
does not use different system files for cu and uucp, the list of
systems known to cu will be identical to the list of systems
known to uucp (see /usr/lib/uucp/Systems).
-l Returns the local system name. This name may differ from the sys-
tem name output by the hostname command if the hostname is very
long.
LOCALE
The LCMESSAGES environment variable governs the language in which
message texts are displayed. If LCMESSAGES is undefined or is defined
as the null string, it defaults to the value of LANG. If LANG is like-
wise undefined or null, the system acts as if it were not internation-
alized.
The LCALL environment variable governs the entire locale. LCALL
takes precedence over all the other environment variables which affect
internationalization.
