mmt(1) DG/UX 4.30 mmt(1)
NAME
mmt - typeset documents
SYNOPSIS
mmt [ options ] [ files ]
DESCRIPTION
Mmt is very similar to mm(1) except that input is typeset
with troff(1), and not nroff(1); mmt and mm both use the MM
macro package. There are options to specify preprocessing
by eqn(1) and/or grap(1) and/or pic(1) and/or tbl(1). The
proper pipelines and the required arguments and flags for
troff(1) and for the macro package are generated, depending
on the options selected.
Options are given below. Any other arguments or flags
(e.g., -rC3) are passed to troff(1) or to the macro package,
as appropriate. Such options can occur in any order, but
they must appear before the files arguments. If no
arguments are given, these commands print a list of their
options.
-e Invokes eqn(1); also causes eqn to read the
/usr/pub/eqnchar file (see eqnchar(5)).
-g Invokes grap(1), which in turn calls pic(1).
-p Invokes pic(1).
-t Invokes tbl(1).
-z Invokes no output filter to process or redirect
the output of troff(1).
-Tdest Creates output for troff device dest (see
troff(1)). The output is sent through the
appropriate postprocessor (see di10(1)).
-Di10 Directs the output to the local IMAGEN laser
printer (pipes output to di10).
These commands read the standard input when - is specified
instead of any filenames.
Mvt, a related command, is just a link to mmt.
NOTES
Use the -olist option of troff(1) to specify ranges of pages
to be output. Note, however, that these commands, if
invoked with one or more of the -e, -g, -p, -t, and -
options, together with the -olist option of troff(1) may
cause a harmless `broken pipe' diagnostic if the last page
of the document is not specified in list.
