slip.user(4) slip.user(4)NAME slip.user - database of available Compressed Serial Line/Internet Protocol (CSL/IP) connections DESCRIPTION The /etc/slip.user file is created on the CSL/IP server from the /etc/slip.config file by the mkslipuser command. The slip command examines /etc/slip.user to get the number of available CSL/IP connections on the CSL/IP server. When slip assigns a CSL/IP connection to a serial line, it updates /etc/slip.user with the new number of available CSL/IP connections. The /etc/slip.user file is a binary file, so you cannot read it. To see the current contents of /etc/slip.user, use dslipuser.
