NAME dslipuser - displays the current state of the Compressed Serial Line/Internet Protocol (CSL/IP) database SYNOPSIS dslipuser DESCRIPTION dslipuser displays the contents of /etc/slip.user, which is the CSL/IP user database. The /etc/slip.user file contains the current number of CSL/IP users on the system and the number of available CSL/IP interfaces. EXAMPLES The dslipuser command displays this message when all the CSL/IP interfaces are free: No dialup CSL/IP users connected (n free lines) Here is an example of the output from dslipuser when two CSL/IP lines are active: User paul connected as paul-slip (aa.bb.cc.dd) via sl0 User george connected as george-slip (ee.ff.gg.hh) via sl1 (0 lines free) The host names paul-slip and george-slip are from the file /etc/slip.hosts, which maintains the mapping between login names and CSL/IP host names or addresses. STATUS MESSAGES AND VALUES If the permission bits for the file /etc/slip.user are incorrect or if /etc/slip.user does not exist, dslipuser displays this message: /etc/slip.user: No such file or directory FILES /etc/dslipuser Executable file /etc/slip.user CSL/IP user database directory SEE ALSO mkslipuser(1M), slip(1M) slip.user(4) in A/UX Programmer's Reference January 1992 1
