NAME
     miscd - miscellanious services server

SYNOPSIS
     /etc/miscd

DESCRIPTION
     Miscd should be run by inetd. It implements several simple
     services:

     discard
          equivalent to /dev/null.

     echo any input is sent back.

     daytime
          time of day as a string (i.e. date).

     clock
          time of day as a 32 bit number in net byte order.

     systat
          list of logged in users (who).

     chargen
          tty test string.

     tekup
          information for ruptime.
