XUSERSETUP(1X11) COMMAND REFERENCE XUSERSETUP(1X11) NAME xusersetup - Script to set up X11 environment for users SYNOPSIS xusersetup [ +s ] [ -s ] [ +u ] [ -u ] [ +c ] [ -c] DESCRIPTION xusersetup sets up user preferences. It is automatically invoked at user login time to X11 or when the menu item reset X resources with tekwm is chosen. xusersetup should only be invoked explicitly by users if they wish to get back to the system-wide and keymap default settings. OPTIONS +s Load the system-wide Xresources files (default) -s Do not load the system-wide Xresources file +u Append the user file $HOME/.Xresources (default) -u Do not append the user file $HOME/.Xresources +c Restart the shell script Xsession -c Do not start the shell script Xsession EXAMPLES This example gets the user back to the X11 system-wide defaults. Note that the +s is not necessary since +s is the default. However, note that the -c option is important since it will prevent clients that were already started by Xsession from being restarted. Also, the -u prevents the user's resource file from being appended to the system-wide resource file, and thus, the user's own resources do not get loaded onto the X server: xusersetup +s -u -c SEE ALSO Xsession(1x11), tekwm(1x11) REFERENCES X11 User Manual, Section 6 and Appendix A Printed 3/22/89 1
