NAME

bl − BusLogic Bus Master SCSI Adapter module

DESCRIPTION

The bl module provides low-level interface routines between the High performance Device Driver (see hpdd(7)) and the BusLogic SCSI adapter family. It can be configured for disk or streaming tape support for one or more host adapter boards, each of which must be the sole initiator on a SCSI bus. The low-level code tries to match the software configuration with the hardware configuration and determines what types of devices are attached to the adapter.  It handles simultaneous requests for all devices, overlapping operations where the devices will permit. It suports 9-track variable length tape. 

The BusLogic SCSI family consists of the following:

BT-44x series for VL bus
BT-54x series for ISA bus
BT-64x series for MCA bus
BT-74x series for EISA bus
BT-94x series for PCI bus
