NAME
lpf_xwdbj − XWD image printer filter for NWP-5601/5602
SYNOPSIS
/usr/sony/lib/lpf_xwdbj
DESCRIPTION
lpf_xwdbj is lpr(1) output filter for outputting data input as XWD format image data to the NWP-5601 Color printer image reader. (For printing out to NWP-5601, NWP-5602 Color printer image reader interface unit is needed.)
The NWP-5601 has 400 dpi resolution as maximum, and print A4/B5/A5/A6-sized print paper or A4-sized tranparent film by full color (16,700,000 colors).
In the file /etc/printcap, nwp5601 is defined as default entry for NWP-5601. This filter recorded as follow;

EXAMPLES
To use this filter, lpr(1) or xwdlpr(1) should be used. Example by using lpr(1) :
lpr −Pnwp5601 −x XWDdata Note that the filter setting option (−x in this case) must be specified. Example by using xwdlpr(1) : xwdlpr −Pnwp5601 XWDdata

LIMIT
The XWD format data that can be output is limited to image data which is convertible using the xwdconv command. The visual_class must be direct24, direct16, pseudo8, pseudo4, gray8, gray4 or bitmap, and the pixmap_format must be ZPixmap.
CAUTION
The NWP-5602 and workstation are connected by SCSI interface. If you not used default SCSI ID (/dev/scsi06) defined in the /etc/printcap, please change SCSI device name in it.
