SJ2(1) — NEWS-OS Programmer’s Manual
NAME
sj2 − Japanese language input front end processor
SYNOPSIS
sj2 [ −f shell ] [ −h ] [ −L ] [ -o ] [ −e program [ arguments ... ]]
DESCRIPTION
sj2 is a front end processor for Japanese language input that performs kana-kanji conversion.
sj2 runs on the terminal. It performs kana-kanji conversion on Roman letter or half-width kana input from the terminal. The results of the conversion are then passed to the application running on top of sj2.
When sj2 is run, the setup file .sjrc in the home directory is read and the settings it contains are then used for the operation of the program. If there is no .sjrc file, the default settings are used.
OPTIONS
−f shell
This option specifies the shell to be used when sj2 is run. The default is /bin/csh.

−o This option specifies the NWP-410 as the keyboard to be used.
−e program [ arguments ... ]
This option is used to specify the program to be loaded after sj2 is started and its arguments. This must be the last option entered on the command line.
