NAME

faxlslog − Displays FAX communication log. 

SYNOPSIS

faxlslog [ −long ] [ −log log-id ... ] [ −request request-id ... ] [ −receive receive-id ... ] [ −user user-name ... ] [ −line line-id ] [ −host host-name ]

DESCRIPTION

faxlslog displays a part or all of communication log of a specified machine.  Order of display follows communication time ( in the order of communication log ID )

The following options are recognized. 

−lon[g]
Displays communication log content in more details.

−log log-id ... 
By specifying communication log ID, only the specified communication log can be displayed. Multiple communication log IDs can be specified.
Either one of the following options can be specified: −log, −request, −receive, −user. 

−req[uest] request-id[.request-subid] ... 
By specifying request ID, communication log of only the specified request can be displayed. Multiple request IDs can be specified.
It can be specified in either format of < request ID > or < request ID >.< request sub ID >.
Either one of the following options can be specified: −log, −request, −receive, −user. 

−rec[eive] receive-id ... 
By specifying the receiving ID, communication log of the specified ID only can be displayed. Multiple IDs can be specified.
Either one of the following options can be specified: −log, −request, −receive, −user. 

−us[er] user-name ... 
Specifies communication log of only the specified user. Multiple users can be specified.
Either one of the following options can be specified: −log, −request, −receive, −user. 

−li[ne] line-id
If multiple lines are connected, line ID (0 or 1) is specified. 
If not specified, 0 is default value. 

−ho[st] host-name
Specifies host name of the machine that carries FAX board.
If not specified, the host name registered in the top of FAX host machine registration file is used.

Communication log ID
Line ID
Type of communication

F:FAX
S:Send
R:Receive
P:Polling communication
T:Communication at specified time

Number of page
Result of communication
User name (owner)

(Displayed in case of send/polling-send-receive)

Communication time
Required time of communication

−long If option is specified, following items are added. 

Request ID

(Displayed in case of send/polling-send-receive)

Request sub ID

(Displayed in case of send/polling-send-receive)

Receive ID

(Displayed in case of send/polling-send-receive)

Host name

(Displayed in case of send/polling-send-receive)

Telephone number

(Displayed in case of send/polling-send-receive)

Communication result is briefly described. 
Communication result that is displayed by faxlslog command, shows error which has occurred during FAX send/receive process in the form of code. 
ERR1 that is displayed when −long option is specified, is same as ERROR which is displayed when option is not specified.  When ERR1 is 0, it ended correctly. 
Followings are major error codes and content of error.

280FAX request is deleted during communication.
1002FAX board is not connected.
1003FAX board is not initialized.
1006Called line is busy.
1007No response from called line.
Called line is not G3 type facsimile machine.
10014Process speed is slow to catch up.
10016Line is disconnected due to communication error.
10017Process speed is slow to catch up.
10022Send/receive processing is interrupted with signal.
10029Line is disconnected due to communication error.
10030Line is disconnected due to communication error.
10031Line is disconnected due to communication error.
10032Line is disconnected due to communication error.
10033Line is disconnected by other processes.
20128File system has reached to full.
2030Memory cannot be assigned.
2040Font for FAX is not installed.

DIAGNOSIS

If successful, exit status is 0. 
Otherwise, error message is written to stderr.

NOTES

There can be the cases that multiple communication logs exist for one request. (Communication log is recorded whenever it is retried due to line busy or others.) 
This is communication record of FAX send/receive using FAX command, and of automatic reception using FAX daemon.
