NAME
amsysinfo - print system serial number or full hostname/address

SYNOPSIS
     /usr/etc/amsysinfo [ -s | -n ]

DESCRIPTION
amsysinfo prints the system serial number for platforms with machine
readable system serial numbers, or the full hostname/address for all
platforms. All relatively recent hardware platforms have machine
readable system serial numbers. These include IP19, IP21, IP22, IP25,
     IP26, IP27, IP28, IP30 and IP32.

The serial number for IP19, IP21 and IP25 platforms is the character 'S'
followed by five digits. The serial number for IP22, IP26, IP28, IP30
and IP32 platforms is twelve digits, which are the last eight digits of
the serial number on the back of the system with 0800 prepended. The
serial number for an IP27 Origin 2000 is the character 'K' followed by 7
digits and for an IP27 Origin 200 is eight digits.

The option can be one of:

-s Print the system serial number for all platforms with machine
readable serial numbers; otherwise print "unknown" and return 1.

     -n Print the full hostname/address.

If no option is given, the default is -s.
