NAME

flpuxfer − transfer the bootable floppy

SYNOPSIS

/etc/flpuxfer { md0a | md0c }

DESCRIPTION

flpuxfer is used when building a UNIX on a hard disk from floppies.  It is run after booting off the bootable floppy.  It first makes a filesystem on the partition specified by its argument and mounts it.  It then copies the contents of the floppy to the hard disk filesystem.  Finally, it patches the kernel on the hard disk to expect the root filesystem to be on device specified by the argument.
