iossetup(8) iossetup(8)
NAME
iossetup - set up and configure SCSI devices
SYNOPSIS
/sbin/iossetup setupparameter
DESCRIPTION
iossetup can be used instead of the individual setup commands listed
under SEE ALSO, namely dksetup, fdsetup etc.
setupparameter offers the same options and parameters as with the
specific setup commands. For a description of their meaning, please
refer to the individual commands descriptions.
The devname parameter of the special setup command forces the iossetup
command to branch without modification to the special setup command.
The plausibility checks are carried out here, and any error messages
are output by the special setup command.
EXAMPLE
To update a specific device on an IOS SCSI disk, you can invoke
iossetup -U /dev/ios0/rsdisk012s0
instead of
dksetup -U /dev/ios0/rsdisk012s0
and achieve the same result.
DIAGNOSTICS
Error messages and return values correspond to those of the special
setup command.
SEE ALSO
dksetup(8), fdsetup(8), jbsetup(8), sgensetup(8), tpsetup(8).
