NAME
dfshares - list available resources from remote or local systems

SYNOPSIS
     dfshares [-h] [server ...]

DESCRIPTION
dfshares provides information about resources available to the host
     via NFS.

If dfshares is entered without arguments, all resources currently
shared on the local system are displayed.

The output of dfshares consists of an optional header line (suppressed
with the -h flag) followed by a list of lines containing fields sepa-
rated by blanks. For each resource, the fields are:

          RESOURCE SERVER ACCESS TRANSPORT

     where

RESOURCE Specifies the resource name that must be given to the
                  mount(1M) command.

SERVER Specifies the name of the system that is making the
                  resource available.

ACCESS Specifies the access permissions granted to the client
systems, either ro (for read-only) or rw (for
read/write). If dfshares cannot determine access permis-
sions, a hyphen (-) is displayed. This is the case with
                  NFS resources.

TRANSPORT Specifies the transport provider over which the resource
is shared. This field remains empty for NFS resources.

A field may be null. Each null field is indicated by a hyphen.

NOTES
Although two variants of the dfshares command exist in the operating
system, i.e. as a DFS command (generic layer of commands for distri-
buted file systems) and as an NFS command, it will only be documented
once to avoid confusion: However, NFS is the only distributed file
     system available in Reliant UNIX.

Nevertheless, when dfshares is called, the DFS dfshares command is
executed first for compatibility reasons, which then in turn executes
the NFS dfshares command described here. The DFS dfshares command can
also interpret the -F fstype option and -o fs-options. However, only
nfs can be specified for fstype. -o fs-options causes an error,
because the NFS dfshares command has no NFS-specific options.
