unshare(1M) unshare(1M)
NAME
unshare - make local NFS resource unavailable for mounting by remote
systems
SYNOPSIS
unshare [pathname]
DESCRIPTION
The unshare command makes the local NFS resource pathname unavailable
for mounting on remote systems. The resource name in pathname must
correspond to an entry in the file /etc/dfs/sharetab.
NOTES
Although two variants of the unshare command exist in the operating
system, i.e. as a DFS command (generic layer of commands for distri-
buted file systems) and as an NFS command, it will only be documented
once to avoid confusion: However, NFS is the only distributed file
system available in Reliant UNIX.
Nevertheless, when unshare is called, the DFS unshare command is exe-
cuted first for compatibility reasons, which then in turn executes the
NFS unshare command described here. The DFS unshare command can also
interpret the -F fstype option. However, only nfs can be specified for
fstype.
FILES
/etc/dfs/fstypes
/etc/dfs/sharetab
