NAME
hashcheck - check hashed spelling list

SYNOPSIS
     /usr/lib/spell/hashcheck wordlist

DESCRIPTION
hashcheck, hashmake and spellin are a group of auxiliary routines for
the spell-checking program spell. The spell command uses spelling
lists to determine the correct spelling of words. You can use the aux-
iliary routines to maintain and extend the existing spelling lists and
     to create new lists.

hashcheck reads the compressed spelling list wordlist (created by
spellin) and recreates the original nine-digit hash code (as created
by hashmake). This code is written to standard output.

hashcheck takes as input the system files hlista or hlistb, or any
other file created or modified by spellin.

By applying hashcheck to an existing compressed spelling list and
hashmake to a file of selected words, you can compare the two output
files to determine if the selected words are present in the existing
     spelling list.
