     NAME
          mptx - the macro package for formatting a permuted index

     SYNOPSIS
          nroff -mptx [ options ] [ files ]

          troff -mptx [ options ] [ files ]

     DESCRIPTION
          This macro package provides a definition for the .xx macro
          used for formatting a permuted index as produced by ptx(1).
          This package does not provide any other formatting
          capabilities such as headers and footers.  If these or other
          capabilities are required, the mptx macro package may be
          used in conjuction with the mm macro package.  In this case,
          the -mptx option must be invoked after the -mm call.  For
          example:

               nroff -mm -mptx file
          or
               mm -mptx file

          Mptx may be used with either nroff(1), or troff(1).

     FILES
          /usr/lib/tmac/tmac.ptx    pointer to the non-compacted
                                    version of the package
          /usr/lib/macros/ptx       non-compacted version of the
                                    package
