NAME

ACMSxp − ACMSxp software builds and runs client/server applications

DESCRIPTION

ACMSxp applications provide transaction processing control and run-time system administration capabilities.  ACMSxp:

       •Provides client/server computing

•Supports basic and extended client/server applications

•Provides transaction processing control through a high-level programming language (STDL) designed to make distributed TP applications highly portable and easy to develop

•Uses the DCE remote procedure call (RPC) for client/server communication

•Uses a transaction manager to provide robust, efficient distributed TP

       •Optimizes system resources

•Integrates related products and is layered on other services

       •Provides powerful system administration facilities

•Adheres to industry standards, resulting in application portability

RELATED INFORMATION lists man pages for the ACMSxp system commands, the ACMSxp administration command, the gateway log utility, and the STDL compiler command; for scripts for setting the ACMSxp software version and the creation, starting and deletion of an ACMSxp TPsystem; and for syntax of STDL elements.

More information is available with the help command in the acmsadmin utility.
