There is minimal support for some aspects of 3DNow! in BeOS Release 4. More support may be added in the near future.

3DNow!, processor enhancement technologies developed by AMD and Cyrix, are not specifically on our list of things to add support for. Frankly, Intel processors dominate the market, so we're more likely to spend our limited time optimizing for MMX and Katmai. But if it's easy to do so, we'll do what we can, so it's somewhat dependent on programming support for these technologies.

Of course, third-party developers can add any processor-specific enhancements they want, so individual titles may very well have 3DNow! optimizations. Check with your favorite software developers for details.
