Katmai technologies are the rumored (fairly widely reported rumors, though) extensions/improvements to MMX that are coming from Intel in the not too distant future.

As a forthcoming technology, Intel is quite close-lipped about Katmai. Which means that, if we knew anything about it, it's probably under nondisclosure. Which means we can't tell you what our plans for Katmai are. Uh, oops, that is, if we have plans for Katmai, we can't talk about them.

You figure it out. ;-)
