We run the Be ftp/web site on a fast system with connectivity greater than a T1 line, and the system is co-located at our ISP, WebCondo, where they have great peering arrangements. In general, the performance of these services is extremely good.

If you are experiencing slow performance connecting to the Be web or ftp site, it's probably just bad Internet weather, and will go away in a couple hours. Bad Internet weather accounts for 95% or more of the performance problems that people report, and the problems which arise are outside of Be's control. It's just the way the Internet is today.

Sending a traceroute to webmaster@be.com will let us check into it with our ISP, though, and make sure it's not our problem (every once in a while it is), so feel free to do so. We do work hard to make the Be site snappy, so let us know when things are not good.
