We currently ship with the system support for playback of Cinepak-compressed QuickTime movies only.
A number of developers have and are creating modules that plug into the Translation Kit that enable the BeOS system and applications to use a wide variety of data formats, including QuickTime and MPEG. Be intends to supply codecs for various video formats in future releases of the BeOS.
