simple_prom − description of simple prom monitor is combination of the MIPS prom monitor and debug monitor. This monitor does not rely on system features beyond the presence of a MIPS R2000 processor. It is intended as the most rapid path to bring-up a monitor for developers who are not using the MIPS R2300 cpu or R2350 memory boards. Since the simple prom is designed to operate with only the facilities provided by the R2000 processor, certain features of the MIPS prom monitor and debug monitor were eliminated to produce the simple prom. The following commands are available in the simple prom, they behave as documented in manual section 1 of the spp documentation.
