TQIJ(4spp)          RISC/os Reference Manual           TQIJ(4spp)

NAME
     tqij - Interphase Jaguar SCSI Tape

SYNOPSIS
     {
          "tqij",        tpvjinit,     tpvjopen,
          tpvjstrategy, tpvjclose,    tpvjioctl,
          DTTYPEBLOCK,
          DTFSAUTO,     "Interphase Jaguar SCSI tape"
     }

DESCRIPTION
     Tqij is the interface to the tape drives on the Interphase
     Jaguar SCSI controller. Tqij supports only one controller
     with a maximum of seven units on that controller. Due to
     the priority scheme on the controller, the tape drive is
     usually installed as unit 6 (starting from zero), and if
     there is a second tape drive, it is installed as unit 5.
     Both 1/4 inch cartridge and 1/2 inch reel-to-reel tapes are
     supported.

REGISTERS
     This controller's registers are addressed relative to VME
     A16 Supervisor address space. The address of the controller
     0 is hardwired at 0x9000.

IOCTLS
     Tqij doesn't support any ioctl calls.

DIAGNOSTICS
     The following diagnostics are printed by the tqij driver:

     tqijopen: tape rewinding error
          Couldn't rewind the tape when trying to open the dev-
          ice.

     tqijopen: tape spacing files error
          Couldn't space to the file number specified in the dev-
          ice name.

     tqijopen: tape read error

     bad volume header

     tqijclose: Error in writing file marks

     tqijclose: Error in bsf

     tqijclose: Error in tape rewinding.

     tqijstrategy: write error.
