WBFLUSH(3spp) RISC/os Reference Manual WBFLUSH(3spp)
NAME
wbflush - wait until all memory writes have completed
SYNOPSIS
void wbflush()
DESCRIPTION
Wbflush waits until the write buffers indicate that all
memory writes have be completed. Wbflush is necessary in two
situations:
1 When writing to one memory location may affect the con-
tents read from another location. For example, writing
to device controllers where a command may be written
into one device register and status read from another.
2 When writes to contiguous byte or halfword locations
must not be gathered in to larger units by the byte
gathering mechanism of the write buffers.
