NAME
     init_tod - initialize time-of-day chip

SYNOPSIS
     inittod [secs]

DESCRIPTION
The init_tod command initializes the time-of-day chip. It
is very important that the time-of-day chip is running; oth-
erwise, the operating system does not work properly. This
command is normally executed at the factory.

The argument secs is the number of seconds since 1972. To
use this command, enter init_tod without any arguments, then
execute the date(1) command after the operating system
     boots.
