NAME
dpr - display previous registers
SYNOPSIS
dpr cpu_number
AVAILABILITY
This command is available only on RC6380 systems.
DESCRIPTION
dpr is a PROM monitor or standalone shell (sash(1M)) com-
mand. This command displays what the registers for the
specified CPU contained just prior to the last reset. You
can specify the desired CPU (0 to 3) with the cpu_number
parameter. For example, dpr 1 displays register information
for CPU 1. Specify 0 for cpu_number on computers with only
one processor.
The PROM program sequence is as follows: Upon reset, the
PROM program begins at 0xBFC00000 and starts the CPUs. Each
CPU reads the current registers and status and puts them
into the SET0 and 1 cache lines. After initialization is
complete, but prior to the initial display, the PROM program
dumps the registers from cache to the nonvolatile RAM
(NVRAM). When dpr executes, the registers are read from the
NVRAM and formatted on the console display.
Note that the PROMS EPC register shown on the display is the
PROM and standalone shell (sash(1M)) exception program
counter and is used only for debugging the PROM. Do not con-
fuse it with the system EPC register.
