DCR(1prom) RISC/os Reference Manual DCR(1prom)
NAME
dcr - display current registers
SYNOPSIS
dcr [cpu_number]
AVAILABILITY
This command is available only on RC6380 systems.
DESCRIPTION
dcr is a PROM monitor or standalone shell (sash(1M)) com-
mand. This command causes the CPU specified by cpu_number to
dump the current status and registers to memory. For exam-
ple, dcr 1 displays register information for CPU 1. Omit-
ting cpu_number displays register information for the master
CPU (this is the only CPU on single-processor computers).
The location at which the registers are dumped is returned
to the calling routine. This routine picks up the register
information from memory, then formats and displays it.
Registers destroyed by the dump process are denoted by a
question mark (?) preceding the register contents (for exam-
ple, r7 (a3)?a0011728).
Note that the PROMS EPC register shown on the display is the
PROM and standalone shell (sash(1M)) exception program
counter and is used only for debugging the PROM. Do not con-
fuse it with the system EPC register.
