htyload(1M) RISC/os Reference Manual htyload(1M)
NAME
hty_load - build and load the HPS driver configuration from
a driver configuration file
SYNOPSIS
htyload [df] [device_name] [config_file name]
DESCRIPTION
htyload builds and loads the HPS driver configuration from
a driver configuration file. The defaults are /dev/rhp0 for
the device name and hty_config in the /etc directory for the
driver configuration file name.
OPTIONS
The following options may be selected:
d Set the device file name by allowing the user to over-
ride the default HPS device name of /dev/rhp0. If this
option is selected, the overriding device name must be
specified in the device_name parameter on the command
line.
f Set the driver configuration file name by allowing the
user to override the default configuration file
/etc/hty_config.
EXAMPLES
To load the system configuration to iHPS 1 and use the
default driver configuration file:
htyload d /dev/rhp1
To load the system configuration to HP 1 and use an alter-
nate driver configuration file:
htyload f /etc/htyconfig1
htyload does not distinguish ports on a cluster controller
configured as serial printer ports, but assumes that a con-
figuration with a port count of 9 or 17 includes a parallel
printer port.
