NAME
yp - Network Information Service protocol

DESCRIPTION
The Network Information Service Service is used for the
administration of network-wide databases. The service is
composed mainly of two programs: YPBINDPROG for finding a
NIS server and YPPROG for accessing the NIS databases.
PROGRAMMING
Refer to ypclnt(3N) for information on the programmatic
interface to NIS servers and databases.
