NAME
snmptrap - Simple Network Management Protocol Trap Daemon
SYNOPSIS
snmptrap host [-pport] [-ccommunity] enterprise agent-
address generic-trap
specific-trap timestamp [variable kind value]...
DESCRIPTION
The snmptrap command directs an SNMP trap message at a
specified remote network management entity host.
OPTIONS
-p allows the user to select the local port.
The default is to read the snmptrap entry out
of /etc/services.
-c allows the user to select the community name.
The default is public.
enterprise the enterprise value of the originator of the
message originator.
agent-address the IP address of the originator of the mes-
sage originator.
generic-trap the trap type of this message.
specific-trap the enterprise-specific event. Used together
with the enterpriseSpecific trap in the
generic-trap field.
timestamp the time associated with this trap message in
time ticks.
