MSDIR(1) COMMAND REFERENCE MSDIR(1)
NAME
msdir - directory of msdos disk
SYNOPSIS
msdir [ -w ] [ -s ] [ -h ] [ -i ] device [ :name ]
DESCRIPTION
msdir reads and displays msdos filesystem directory entries
-- if no msdos path is specified, the root directory is
displayed. Several output formats are available. Wild
cards are allowed, if escaped so the shell won't eat them --
but note that these are shell-type wildcards, i.e. *.* does
not match foo, but does match foo.com.
OPTIONS
-w forces a wide format which packs several names onto a
line.
-s gives filenames one per line, for use in shell scripts,
particularly with -h.
-h removes the header and footer lines.
-p sends the output through a pager.
EXAMPLES
msdir -wp di:foo will display the contents of the directory
foo in wide format, paging the output -- if foo is a file,
its directory entry will be displayed.
VARIABLES
PAGER is the program used to page the output
If the pager is not specified, it defaults to more if it
can, or cat otherwise.
