CHMOD(3F) COMMAND REFERENCE CHMOD(3F) NAME chmod - change mode of a file SYNOPSIS integer function chmod (filename, mode) character*(*) filename, mode DESCRIPTION This function changes the file system mode of filename. Mode can be any specification recognized by chmod(1). Filename must be a single pathname. FILES /usr/lib/libU77.a f77 UTek system interface library. /bin/chmod Exec'ed to change the mode. RETURN VALUE The normal returned value is 0. Any other value will be a system error number. CAVEATS Pathnames can be no longer than MAXPATHLEN as defined in /usr/include/max.h . SEE ALSO chmod(1).
