PWD(1) COMMAND REFERENCE PWD(1) NAME pwd - working directory name SYNOPSIS pwd DESCRIPTION Pwd prints the pathname of the working (current) directory. EXAMPLES To print the pathname of the current working directory type the following. pwd RETURN VALUE [NO_ERRS] Command completed without error. [P_ERR] A system error occurred. Execution terminated. See intro(2) for more information on system errors. CAVEATS The length of the path returned is limited to MAXPATHLEN characters.
