NAME
     newaliases - rebuild the data base for the mail aliases file

SYNOPSIS
     newaliases

DESCRIPTION
     Newaliases rebuilds the random access data base for the mail
     aliases file /usr/lib/aliases.  It is run automatically on
     the first attempt to send mail after /usr/lib/aliases is
     changed and then the change takes effect.  If the aliases
     file is out of date, then sendmail rebuilds it.
