NAME
     sleep - suspend execution for an interval

SYNOPSIS
     subroutine sleep (itime)
     integer itime

DESCRIPTION
     Sleep causes the calling process to be suspended for itime
     seconds.  The actual time can be up to one second less than
     itime due to granularity in system timekeeping.
