RWHO(1N) COMMAND REFERENCE RWHO(1N) NAME rwho - who's logged in on local machines SYNOPSIS rwho [ -a ] [ -h ] [ host(s)... ] DESCRIPTION Producing output similar to the who command, rwho produces output for all machines on the local network. If no report has been received from a machine for 11 minutes rwho assumes that machine is down, and does not report users last known to be logged into that machine. If a user hasn't typed to the system for a minute or more, rwho reports this idle time. OPTIONS -a Show all users including those who have not typed to the system for an hour or more; normally these users are omitted from the output. -h Sort by host name, rather than user name. FILES /usr/lib/rwhod.{dir,pag} information about other machines RETURN VALUE [USAGE] Incorrect command line syntax. Execution terminated. [NP_WARN] An error warranting a warning message occurred. Execution continues. [NP_ERR] An error occurred that was not a system error. Execution terminated. [P_WARN] A system error occurred. Execution continues. See intro(2) for more information on system errors. [P_ERR] A system error occurred. Execution terminated. See intro(2) for more information on system errors. CAVEATS The command rwho is unwieldy when the number of machines on the local net is large. SEE ALSO ruptime(1N) and rwhod(8N). Printed 5/12/88 1
